新工科:形态、内涵与方向

摘要: 本文结合新工科讨论中的有关论述,界定新工科是指新的工科形态,是对工科注入新的内涵以适应新经济发展需要诞生的工科新形态,可表述为"工科+",不宜人为划分新工科与老工科。新工科首先是工科,应从工程教育的整体性出发植入新理念、新模式、新技术等核心要素,使其更加符合科学发展规律并适应新经济发展需要。开放包容、重构知识、实现专业教育与通识教育的有机结合是新工科教育未来的主要方向。
Combining viewpoints of numerous scholars,this paper defines New Engineering Disciplines as a new form of engineering,whose emergence meets the demand of new economic development.With new meanings infused in,New Engineering Disciplines can be depicted as Engineering Plus.With the essence of engineering,the author of this paper believes that it is unnecessary to factitiously separate New Engineering Disciplines from Old Engineering Disciplines.With the integrity of engineering education in consideration,new ideas,new systems,new technologies and other core elements should be infused to make the New Engineering Disciplines more in line with the development law for science and the need of new economic development.The main future direction of new engineering education is openness and inclusiveness,knowledge restructuring and the efficient combination of professional education and general education.
