摘要: ObjectiveToevaluatethepresentChinesebodymassindex(BMI)criteriawithbodyfatpercentage(BF%)indeterminingobesityinChinesepopulation.MethodsAtotalof4907subjects(age:20-90yrs)wereenrolledinthebaselinesurveyofalongitudinalepidemiologicalstudy,and2638ofthemwerereevaluatedin5.5yearslater.TheChineseBMIandWHOBF%wereusedtodefineobesity,respectively.ResultsThediagnosticagreementbetweentheChineseBMIandWHOBF%definitionsforobesitywaspoorforbothmen(kappa:0.210,95%CI:0.179-0.241)andwomen(kappa:0.327,95%CI:0.296-0.358).However,BMIhadagoodcorrelationwithBF%bothinmen(r:0.785,P<0,01)andwomen(r:0.864,P<0.01).Theageandsex-adjustedrelativerisks(RR)forincidenceoftype2diabetes(T2DM)weresignificantlyhigherinsubjectswithintermediateBF%(BF%:20.1%-25%formen,30.1%-35%forwomen)(RR:2.35,95%CI:1.23-4.48)andhighBF%(BF%>25%formenand>35%forwomen)(RR:2.89,95%CI:1.43-5.81),orinsubjectswithhighBMI(BMI≥28kg/m~2)(RR:2.46,95%CI:1.31-4.63)whencomparedtothosewithlowBF%(BF%≤20%formenand≤30%forwomen)orlowBMI(BMI<24kg/m~2)respectively.NodifferenceinriskcouldbefoundinthosewithintermediateBMI(BMI:24-27.9kg/m~2)(RR:1.44,95%CI:0.86-2.40),ascomparedtothosewithlowBMI(BMI<24kg/m~2),whoseBF%rangedwidelyfrom7.8to50.3%.ConclusionBMIwascorrelatedwithBF%.BothBMIandBF%wereassociatedwithhighriskforT2DM.However,BMIhaditslimitationsintheinterpretationofsubjectswithBMIbetween24and27.9kg/m~2. ...
