摘要： Metastasisisthemajorcauseofmortalityincancerdiseaseandstillconstitutesoneofthemostcontroversialmechanism,notyetfullyunderstood.Whatisalmostbeyonddoubtisthatcirculatorysystemiscrucialforcancerpropagation.Regardingthissystem,muchattentionhasbeenrecentlypaidtoliquidbiopsy.Thistechniqueisaimedtodetectcirculatingtumorcells(CTCs)andcirculatingnucleicacidssoitcanbeusedasatoolfordiagnostic,prognosticandfollow-upofpatients.WhereasCTCstendtobescarceinserumandplasmafromcancerpatient,abundantcirculatingnucleicacidscanbedetectedinthesamelocation.Thisfact,togetherwiththegeneticoriginofcancer,standsouttherelevanceofcirculatingnucleicacidsandshedlightintotheroleofnucleicacidsasdriversofmetastasis,arecentlydiscoveredphenomenoncalledGenometastasis.Thisinnovativetheorysupportsthetransferofoncogenesfromcancercellstonormalandsusceptiblecellslocatedindistanttargetorgansthroughcirculatorysystem.Whatismore,manybiologicalprocesseshavenbeendescribedtodeliverandsecretecirculatingnucleicacidsintothecirculationwhichcanallowsuchhorizontaltransferofoncogenes.Inthisreview,wefocusnotonlyonthesemechanismsbutalsowedemonstrateitsputativeroleincancerpropagationandgiveinsightsaboutpossibletherapeuticstrategiesbasedonthistheory.Ourobjectiveistodemonstratehowfindingsaboutcell-to-cellcommunicationsandpreviousresultscanagreewiththisunprecedentedtheory. ... （共11页）
