摘要： Asthmaisacommondiseaseaffectingmillionsofpeopleworldwideandexertinganenormousstrainonhealthresourcesinmanycountries.Evidenceisincreasingthatasthmaisunlikelytobeasinglediseasebutratheraseriesofcomplex,overlappingindividualdiseasesorphenotypes,eachdefinedbyitsuniqueinteractionbetweengeneticandenvironmentalfactors.Asthmaphenotypeswereinitiallyfocusedoncombinationsofclinicalcharacteristics,buttheyarenowevolvingtolinkpathophysiologicalmechanismtosubtypesofasthma.Bettercharacterizationofthosephenotypesisexpectedtobemostusefulforallocatingasthmatherapies.Thisarticlereviewsdifferentpublishedresearchesintermsofunbiasedapproachestophenotypeasthmaandemphasizeshowthephenotypingexerciseisanimportantsteptowardsproperasthmatreatment.Itisstructuredintothreesections;theheterogeneityofasthma,theimpactofasthmaheterogeneityonasthmamanagementanddifferenttrialsforphenotypingasthma. ... （共6页）
