AntioxidantandantiglycationpropertiesofdifferentsolventextractsfromChineseolive(CanariumalbumL.)fruit

摘要: Objective:Toevaluatetheantioxidantactivity,antiglycationproperty,andbioactivccomponentscontentofdifferentsolventextractsfromChineseolive(CanariumalbumL.)fruit.Methods:ThedrypowderofChineseolivefruitwasextractedwithdifferentsolvents,i.e.,water,water/ethanol(1/1,v/v),ethanol,methanol,acetoneandethylacetate.Thetotalphenolic,totalflavonoidsandtotaltriterpenoidscontentsofvariousextractsweredeterminedbyspectrophotometricmethods.Phenoliccompoundswereidentifiedbyhighperformanceliquidchromatography.Theassayedantioxidantactivitywasdeterminedinvitromodelssuchasantioxidantcapacitybyradicalscavengingactivityusing2,2-azino-bLs(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonicacid)(ABTS),l,l-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl(DPPH)andnitriteoxidemethods,chelatingactivityonmetalions,lipidandproteinperoxidationmethods.Invitroglucosebovineserumalbuminassaywasusedtoevaluatetheantiglycationofvariousextracts.Results:Thewater/ethanolextractsofChineseolivefruitexertedsignificantscavengingeffectsonfreeradicalsandstronginhibitoryeffectsonadvancedglycationendproductsformation.TheChineseolivefruitextractswererichinphenoliccompoundsandtriterpenoids.Gallicacid,ferulicacidandrutinwereidentifiedfromthewater/ethanolextracts.Correlationanalysisindicatedthattherewasalinearrelationshipbetweentheantioxidantpotency,freeradicalscavengingabilityandphenoliccompoundscontentoftheChineseolivefruitextracts.Conclusions:Chineseolivefruitcouldbeanaturalcandidateforstudiesofdietarycomplementtodiabetestreatmentsinceitcombinesantioxidantandantiglycationactivities. ...
